Today I got to meet Rachel Mulligan and her parents, Mike and Pam, and congratulate her for making #Nebraska proud. Rachel said she just wanted to try her best and have a fun time, but the Papillion native got even more—a pair of sparkling silver medals. Competing at the @SpecialOlympics Winter World Games in Austria last year, Rachel was one of 19 cross country skiers from the United States and earned medals in both the 500-meter freestyle race as well as the 1-kilometer freestyle race.
