Richard is an American film and television actor known best for his role Det. James Ellison on The Sentinel and as Karl Mayer on Desperate Housewives.

His roles as Paul Hornsby in the ABC daytime soap opera General Hospital and Ashland Locke in the CBS daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless were well recognized.

However, he is no longer the part of the show The Young And The Restless. He joined the show in the March of 2021.

Richard Burgi is leaving the Y & R after appearing in 108 episodes. He was fired from the show for breaching the show’s Covid-19 protocol.

Burgi took to Instagram to announce the news of his firing and said he was so sad and he will miss the show. He said he inadvertently violated the Covid policy of the show.

Burgi followed the guidelines of CDC of 5 days isolation period while the show demands a 10-day isolation period after testing positive for the Covid. He said that he was unaware of this fact.

The Young and Restless announced that Guiding Light actor Robert Newman would replace Burgi as Ashland Locke. As of now, Burgi hasn’t told his new projects.

Richard Burgi Age And Wife Revealed

 Born on July 30, 1958, Richard Burgi is 63 years of age and married to his pretty wife, Lilliana Lopez.

Richard was raised in Montclair, New Jersey, in a musical family where his father was a drummer, and his mother was a singer. Later, one of his siblings also became a drummer.

After graduating from high school, he started training in community theater and made his acting debut in the mid-1980s. Previously, he had recurring roles on two daytime staples, Another World( 1964) and  As The World Turns(1956).

Burgi married Lori Kahn in 1995, and they have two sons: Jack, born on December 8, 1996, and Samuel, born on August 15, 2000. However, the couple decided to separate and got divorced in 2011.

After parting ways with his ex-wife, he tied the knot with Lilliana Lopez in 2012.
