Simu Liu once penned down a heartfelt letter to his parents, disclosing the difficult relationship he had with them for years, as per Distractify.
Liu’s parents left him in China with his grandparents to forge a better life for their son and themselves and moved to Canada to pursue graduate studies at Queen’s University.
His grandparents raised him for the first four years of his life before his parents brought him to Canada with them.
However, he felt like a stranger and struggled to develop a stable relationship with his parents. Once, he even ran away from home after a particularly bad fight and stayed with some friends for a week.
