Who Is Brandon Freyre? UD Student Charged With Kidnapping -Details To Know

A University of Delaware student Brandon Freyre is accused of strangling a woman to the point of unconsciousness and holding her captive inside an apartment for hours before throwing the victim down a flight of stairs. 

Brandon Freyre, a sophomore at the institution, was charged on Monday, Oct. 11, with kidnapping, assault, strangulation, and terroristic threatening after a female victim reported him for assault on Oct. 8.

Freyre was videotaped in front of Justice of the Peace Court #2 and ordered imprisoned in lieu of $38,100 cash bail.

Freyre was handed over to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington, Delaware.

According to police, the victim and Freyre had an argument on Oct. 8, during which Freyre damaged her belongings, then began striking her with complex objects and spraying her with spray paint in the eyes.

Before reportedly strangling the victim to death, Freyre threatened to kill her if she called the police.

Brandon Freyre is a student at the University of Delaware of Maryland. Freyre is accused of causing damage to the victim’s property during the argument.

According to investigators, Freyre allegedly attacked the girl with blunt objects, blasted her in the eyes with spray paint, and threatened to murder her if she called the police. He’s also accused of strangling her till she passes out.

Freyre is accused of blocking the room’s exit and preventing the victim from exiting the flat. He shoved the victim down a flight of stairs after around four hours, allowing her to flee the flat and alert authorities.

Brandon Freyre Age And Wikipedia 

Brandon Freyre’s age is calculated to be 20 years old as of 2021. However, his specific birth date is yet to be known. 

When the woman was allegedly tossed down a flight of stairs after being kept for nearly four hours in the 100-block of East Main Street.

She could exit the apartment and notify police, according to authorities. She is now being treated for injuries that are not life-threatening.

Freyre was a member of the Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity’s Alpha Beta Chapter on campus. The fraternity posted on Instagram that he has been suspended “pending the outcome of the authorities’ inquiry.”

As of Oct. 11, the university had not announced the incident.
